2015 MapleRoyals Christmas Tree Decorating Contest
MapleRoyals welcomes all players to participate our Christmas Tree Decorating Contest. There is no special theme for the decorations, so let your creativity and Christmas inspirations guide you. Use tree ornaments or even etc items that are unique to you to decorate your tree. Be creative and have fun!

Christmas Tree Decorating Contest is split into two categories: Team and Individual

Team Entries
Gather a team of min. 2 to max. 6 members. Head over to Hill of Christmas map and start decorating your tree!

Team Entries Score Card:
Team entries will be judged by members of staff.

Trees will be judged on the following criteria:
✓ Originality 40%
✓ Creativity 40%
✓ Presentation 20%

Team Winning Prizes:
1st Prize: All team members will each receive 1 rare NX item & a chair of choice*
2nd Prize: All team members will each receive 10,000NX
3rd Prize: All team members will each receive 5,000NX

Where do I decorate the Christmas Tree?

Head over to the FM and talk to Rupi to be teleported to Happyville.
Talk to Rudi to buy some Christmas Ornaments.
Speak to Branch Snowman to be teleported to either room 1 to 5 or
Metal Bucket Snowman to be teleported to either room 6 to 10 or
Straw Hat Snowman to be teleported to either rooms 9 to 15
Please note that only Christmas tree in rooms 1 - 15 of either channels (except islanders) are eligible for this contest.

*For islanders:
Please head to Amherst Town to decorate your Christmas Tree.
Rudi - Tree Ornament Merchant is located on the left of the Christmas Tree.

Contest Rules & Regulations
1. Participants are allowed to join both team & individual entries.
2. Participants are only allowed to submit maximum 1 entry for team & 1 entry for individual else, disqualified.
3. There will be one unique winner for each category.
4. To be eligible to win, participants must submit all entries in this thread.
5. All categories except "People's Choice" will be judged by members of staff who did not participate in this event on their legit characters to remain fair.
6. Only screenshots of decorated Christmas tree from Hill of Christmas are allowed for non islanders.
7. MapleRoyals will not be held responsible for any item(s) lost in the process of decorating the Christmas tree.
8. Any offensive, racist or inappropriate comment(s)/behaviour(s) in your entries will face immediate disqualification and may face punishment according to MapleRoyal's T&S.
9. Choice of chair does not include Mudkip Chair or Pink Bean Chair. List of Rare NX items will be provided by GM.
10. Judging Criteria:

Final Submission: 24th December 2015 23:59 (Server Time)
Winners will be announced on 30th December 2015

Yes, the list of Rare NX items will be provided by GM for winners to choose.
Are characters allowed to be used as decorations?
I dont see why not, as long as you specify that the characters are indeed part of the decoration so we don't assume otherwise.

basically spent half an hour and 5million mesos going around all towns buying 100 each of all the food ;c

A friend and I were building a tree together and got pretty far with it but she had to leave before we were finished.
I ended up finishing up myself and took the screenshots of the finished product with just me in it.

Will it still count as a team submission even if people on the team are missing from the screenshot?

Unfortunately, you will have to redo the tree or submit it as individual category. We would require all teammates to be in the screenshot(s) as a proof of working together on the Christmas tree for Team entries.

I invited my friends the slime and the mushroom for a friendly game of Omok (winner gets the chocolate. It's leftover from last year's Valentines celebration. Don't tell them). I would also like the record to reflect that I am wearing the thematically appropriate and very cute Santa Girl Overall (which I was surprised to find I still fit into, despite it being purchased a year ago!), however my magnificent beard, grown for the occasion, rather obscures it.

(This is a deliberately invalid entry. I do not with to participate in the contest.)
